The TenderAlpha MCP server is live. Claude, ChatGPT and any agent that supports remote MCP servers can now query TenderAlpha’s government contract, open tender and company data directly, with no integration to build.
What an agent can reach
Government contracts. Contract awards from 2010 to the present across national procurement systems, each with the buying agency, the winning company and its listed parent. A subsidiary’s win also appears under its parent company, so a group’s government business can be read as one figure rather than pieced together across legal entities. An agent can break a company’s awards down by year, industry and country, or see which agencies and countries award it the most.
Government agencies. The other side of the same awards: who an agency buys from, how concentrated its spending is, and where its contracts are performed.
Open tenders. Live opportunities, searchable by country, industry, buying agency, estimated value and deadline. Because tenders and awards share the same agency records, an agent can look at what an agency is tendering now next to what it has awarded before.
Companies. A single call returns a company’s profile together with its government contracting, imports, exports, B2B purchasing and B2B sales, each as a count and a value, for all time and for the last twelve months. The response states which of these we hold for that company and over which period, so the agent knows what is covered rather than inferring it. Parent companies, subsidiaries and, for listed companies, the largest shareholders are available in the same session.
Shipment-level trade records remain available through the API and data feeds. The MCP server returns trade activity aggregated per company.
Questions it answers
- Break down company’s government contract awards by year and by country.
- Which government agencies award the most contract value?
- Who are the top suppliers to an agency, and how concentrated is its spending?
- Summarise a company’s imports, exports and B2B purchasing and sales, all time and in the last 12 months.
- Who are the largest shareholders of a listed company, and what has it won from governments this year?
- List open tenders closing in the next month.
The server also ships guided prompts. The first, get_started, gives a short tour of the data using one company as the example.
Four ways in
The MCP server is the newest way to reach TenderAlpha data, alongside the ones our clients already use:
- TenderAlpha Platform, the web application, for analysts working by hand.
- API, REST access for engineering teams, with field selection and query estimates before a query runs.
- Data feeds, scheduled delivery and SQL connectors for pipelines and warehouses.
- MCP server, tools that any MCP-compatible assistant or agent can call.
Getting started
Add the server to your assistant or agent with the URL https://api.platform.tenderalpha.com/v1/mcp, then sign in with your TenderAlpha account. There is no API key to paste and no integration to build.
Setup steps for chat assistants, organisation accounts, command-line tools and agent frameworks are on the MCP page. New accounts start on a free trial.
To see it run against your own team’s questions, create an account or request a demo at [email protected].
