What an agent can reach

Procurement and trade intelligence, inside the agent

The same backend behind the TenderAlpha Platform, the API and the data feeds. Ask in plain language; every answer links back to the source records.

Government contracts

Who won what, and from whom

Contract awards from 2010 to the present, with the buyer, the winning company and its listed parent.

Open tenders

What is still open

Live opportunities by country, industry, buyer, value and deadline, next to the award history of who has won similar work.

Company profiles

Public and trade footprint in one call

Government, import, export and B2B footprints for each company, all time and trailing twelve months, by transaction count and value.

Shipment-level trade records are delivered through the API and data feeds. The MCP server returns trade activity aggregated per company.

Connect

Connect in three steps

About five minutes. You need a TenderAlpha account and an AI client that supports remote MCP servers: a chat assistant, a coding tool or your own agent.

1

Create your TenderAlpha account

  1. Go to platform.tenderalpha.com/register.

  2. Register with your work email address. Personal addresses such as Gmail are not accepted.

  3. Click the link in the verification email to activate the account.

New accounts start on a free trial with MCP access included.
2

Add the server to your AI client

Every client follows the same pattern: add a remote MCP server, paste the server URL, then sign in. No client ID, secret or API key is needed.

  1. Open your assistant’s settings and find Connectors, Integrations or MCP servers. The name varies by client.

  2. Add a custom connector or remote server, name it TenderAlpha and paste the server URL.

  3. Add a custom connector or remote server, name it TenderAlpha and paste the server URL.

3

Sign in and ask

  1. When you connect, a browser window opens. Sign in with your TenderAlpha account and approve access.

  2. Check that the TenderAlpha tools are enabled for your conversation or agent.

  3. Start with the guided tour, get_started, below.

Ready-made prompts

Four guided prompts ship with the server. Each runs a fixed set of data calls and writes a short summary with links to the source records.

get_started 5 data calls

Get started with TenderAlpha

A short tour of the data, using one company as the example.

company_government_briefing 6 data calls

Company briefing

Buyers, countries, trend and most recent awards for one company.

agency_supplier_briefing 5 data calls

Agency briefing

Who an agency buys from, where its contracts are performed and how its spending has changed.

compare_contractors 4 data calls per company

Compare contractors

Two or three companies side by side.

Clients that support MCP prompts list them in their prompt or slash-command menu. In any client, you can also just ask: “Give me a short tour of the TenderAlpha data using [company] as the example.”

Or ask in your own words

Break down [company]'s government contract awards by year and by country.

Which government agencies award the most contract value to [company]?

Who are the top suppliers to [agency], and how concentrated is its spending?

Summarise [company]'s imports, exports and B2B purchasing and sales, all time and in the last 12 months.

Who are the largest shareholders of [listed company], and what has it won from governments this year?

List open [industry] tenders in [country] closing in the next month.

You never need to name a tool. The assistant picks them, and your client shows the name when it asks permission to run one.

Use cases

Where an agent changes the work

Quantitative research

Pull award momentum for a ticker or a sector into a research agent. Contract history resolves to the listed entity, so it joins to a book without a mapping step.

Counterparty and supplier diligence

A company's government contracting next to its import, export and B2B activity, rolled up through parents and subsidiaries. See whether it leans on public revenue, trade, or both.

G2B transaction analysis

Profile a contracting authority and break its spend down by supplier. Then pull each supplier's trade footprint to see where the work flows after award.

Capture and bid intelligence

Search open tenders by authority, category or geography, with the incumbent's award history in the same conversation. Shows who has won comparable work.

Access

One backend, four surfaces

The MCP server is another way to reach the same data. Pick the surface that fits how you work.

This page

MCP Server

Tools any MCP client can call, metered per call.

API

REST access for engineering teams, with field selection and query estimates before you run.

Data Feeds

Scheduled delivery and SQL connectors for pipelines and warehouses.

Platform

The TenderAlpha web application, for analysts working by hand.

Good to know

Questions

What does it cost?

Each data call uses tokens from your TenderAlpha account, and every response shows its cost. New accounts start on a free trial. For a larger allowance, contact us.

Do I need an API key?

No. You sign in with your TenderAlpha account in the browser. For automated workflows where a browser sign-in is not possible, the server also accepts an API key in an x-api-key header. Contact us to request one.

What does the data cover?

Government contracts from 2010 and company trade activity from 2019, both to the present. Trade activity is aggregated in the company profile as counts and values, all time and for the last 12 months. Individual shipments are available through the API.

Can the agent change anything?

No. Every tool is read only. An agent can retrieve and analyse data, never write it.

Which clients work?

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP with OAuth sign-in. That includes chat assistants, coding tools and custom agents.

See it running against your own questions

We will connect the server in a live session and put your analysts' actual queries through it.
